A Passport is a Girl's Best Friend

Summer is here and that means Tahoe. Hello my second home, I have missed you. We went up to the mountains again for D's birthday. This time D and I went up early and worked from the cabin, Friday the Motts and Carrie joined us for a weekend of fun in the sun. The last few days have been nuts. A few months ago I was invited to give a presentation at a conference in Indiana and Friday was the day. Thursday afternoon I few out to Indianapolis to drive a few hours to the conference. I presented bright and early at 8 am to over 200 health care providers. By 1pm I was back on the road to the airport, boarding my plane to Minneapolis at 4pm, landing by 5pm and picked up by my group by 5:15. My group. This trip has been in the works since January when Duane's college buddy was getting married which inevitably brought together the whole frat group. It really didn't take much convincing to get the 3 native CA couples to buy tickets to spend memorial day weekend with our friends (also native Californians) in Minneapolis (poor Minneapolis). One added bonus was it was Jenn's 29th birthday, more reason to celebrate... And RJ and I had plans to capture a pet rabbit in the Yocums backyard. The Yocums were prepared for #CalPoly&Sarahvisi...

Both Tuesday and today, Duane and I joined the big kid scuba divers, the this-is-not-a-drill-real-deal-stuff kind of scuba diving. We kinda sorta really loved it. We went with a freelance Master Diver from InDepth Diving to make sure that we were safe being that we are beginners and to show us the cool stuff. I must say, scuba diving is so much easier in warm 82 degree water in comparison to the frigid waters of Monterey; the density of the water, less weight, and a 3mm shorty wetsuit? I could dive like this all the time. (To make it easier to tell who is who, I, Sarah, have the yellow fins on). Off we go!
